The International Network for Diet and Nutrition in Allergy (INDANA) was established in 2009 by the three allergy dietitians Dr.Carina Venter, Dr. Isabel Skypala and Dr. Berber Vlieg-Boerstra. The aim of this organisation is to bring together people with a professional nutritional qualification, who are working in the field of food allergy.

INDANA is affiliated to the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI IG) and is working towards collaborative multi-professional activities such as education, audit and research. Further affiliations with other well known associations in the allergy field are also explored with the help of the steering committee. INDANA also aims to unify practices and develop evidence-based guidelines and protocols for the diagnosis and nutritional management of patients of all ages who suffer from food hypersensitivity.
